Emma & Jake’s wedding was the first one back for us after the first national lockdown in 2020. It was also ridiculously hot all day, being mid heatwave. Avoiding heatstroke was key, but the main focus was, as always to get some red hot (see what I did there) images that this lovely couple would treasure forever. After 161 days of not photographing a wedding, it was so good to get back in to it, and even better to realise that we hadn’t completely forgotten how to take pictures. Awesome.
The ‘reception’, so to speak, was entirely their own work, renting out a large Air B’n’B, and decorating it in a beautiful Tuscan style, as well as asking a friend to cater. There’s plenty of ideas here that you may want to pinch for your wedding plans, so take a look!
